Своими корнями культура Финляндии уходит в обычаи и верования древних финнов.В дохристианские времена почитались "силы земли" и "духи природы". Существовали десятки языческих богов, наиболее почитаемыми из которых были верховный бог Укко, символизирующий гром и молнию, и его жена - мать природы Рауни.
